Description

TP-Link EAP653 UR is an AX3000 ceiling mount WiFi 6 access point, part of the Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform, designed for business environments requiring high-speed, long-range, and centrally managed wireless connectivity. The “UR” in the model name stands for Ultra Range, indicating enhanced coverage. 

• Ultra-Fast WiFi 6 Speeds: The device offers dual-band speeds of up to 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 2402 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, totaling approximately 2976 Mbps. It supports 160 MHz channels for double the data capacity at peak times.
• Ultra-Range Coverage: The UR version features higher-gain internal omni antennas (2x 5 dBi for 2.4 GHz and 3x 5 dBi for 5 GHz) compared to the standard EAP653, resulting in extended coverage.
• Centralized Management: It integrates seamlessly with the Omada SDN platform, allowing for centralized management of the entire network via a web interface or the Omada app. This enables features like zero-touch provisioning (with the Omada cloud-based controller), multiple SSIDs (up to 16), and detailed network statistics.
• Advanced Wireless Features: Includes features such as Omada Mesh technology for wireless connectivity between access points, seamless roaming, MU-MIMO, Beamforming, Band Steering, and Load Balance.
• Power over Ethernet (PoE+): The access point supports both 802.3at PoE+ and DC power supply for flexible installation. Note that the power adapter is not included in the package.
• Security: Supports modern security protocols including WPA3-Personal/Enterprise, Captive Portal authentication, and access control lists.
• Ultra-Slim Design: The elegant, compact design (Φ160 mm × 33.6 mm) is suitable for various indoor settings like offices, hotels, and classrooms.
